Glenshane Pass: Man dies after car and lorry crash

A 30-year-old man has died after a crash on the Glenshane Pass in County Londonderry.

The collision, which involved a car and a tanker lorry, happened close to the Ponderosa bar between Dungiven and Maghera at 05:20 BST on Monday.

Police said the car driver, Conor Devine from Park, County Londonderry, died at the scene.

The lorry driver was taken to hospital for injuries that are not believed to be serious.

Glenshane Pass, which was closed for much of the day between Castledawson and Dungiven, has reopened.

Police want anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
