Allen arrest suspect still in custody

A man in his 30s who was arrested by gardai investigating the murder of Andrew Allen in February remains in custody.

Mr Allen was shot dead in front of his girlfriend at their home in Links View Park in Buncrana on 9 February.

The father-of-two, originally from the Waterside area of Derry, was murdered by the vigilante group, Republican Action Against Drugs.

A garda spokesman said the man had been taken to Buncrana garda station.

Earier this month, gardai in County Donegal arrested a man in his 50s in connection with the murder.

He was later released without charge.
