Man and friends escape injury after stones thrown at cars
A man has said he is lucky he was not injured after stones were thrown at his car in Limavady.
Lance Wilson, from Coleraine, said his car was attacked in the Glens area on Sunday night.
The police said they are investigating a number of stone throwing incidents in the town.
Mr Wilson said: "Me, my girlfriend and a few friends were driving down to the shop and just as we passed the Glen, two stones hit the roof of our car.
"They left two big dents in the roof of the car but no-one was injured and no-one was hurt. It would have been a lot more serious if a stone had hit the window."
SDLP Councillor Gerry Mullan described the attack as "despicable".
"Lance had a very narrow escape. I've been involved in incidents like this in the past and the community doesn't want to see this part of the town move back rather than forward," he said.
"I would ask parents to make sure they know where their children are at all times and who they are with. We don't want this reputation."
