Man charged after teen stabbed in Magherafelt

A 22-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

It follows the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Rainey Street in Magherafelt on Saturday morning.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The man is due to appear in court in Londonderry on Monday.
