James McConnell murder: Man arrested is released on bail

A 48-year-old man who was arrested by detectives investigating the murder of James McConnell in Londonderry in February 2009 has been released on bail.

Mr McConnell, who was 38, was shot dead at his home in Woodland Avenue by two masked men.

The man was arrested in Dungiven, County Londonderry, on Monday.

He was taken to Antrim police station.

The man was released on Tuesday, pending the outcome of forensic tests on a number of items that were seized during searches.
