Lords publishes members' expenses

The House of Lords has published a table of expenses claims for all its members.

The details relate to the financial year 2009-10 and the first quarter of 2010-11.

Members of the Lords are not paid salaries but are able to claim expenses and allowances "arising from" their parliamentary duties.

Among the payment categories are overnight subsistence, office costs, car mileage and air travel.

The full list of expenses totals is published on Parliament's website.
