Man scarred for life after Glasgow bottle attack
A man who was struck in the face with a bottle during a large-scale disturbance outside a Glasgow pub will be scarred for life, police have said.
The 27-year-old man was seriously injured in the "violent attack" outside BJ's bar in Crow Road at about 0225 BST after a night out with friends.
He was taken to hospital where he was to undergo surgery. Hospital staff described his condition as "stable".
The male suspect was described as white, about 5ft 6in and of thin build.
He had dark brown spiky hair shaven into a 'v' shape at the back.
The suspect was wearing a blue tracksuit top, white shorts and white trainers.
Det Insp Fil Capaldi said: "This was a particularly violent attack and this young man has received a horrendous injury, an injury which will leave him scarred for life.
"Inquiries are at an early stage and at this time it is unclear exactly how many people were involved.
"However, we do know that those involved in the attack had also been in BJ's bar and had spoken with the victim earlier on in the evening."
