Teenager dies after car overturns down embankment

An 18-year-old man has died after a car left the road and fell six feet down an embankment before landing on its roof.

The car came off the A92 in Glenrothes, Fife, shortly before 2230 GMT on Saturday.

The teenager, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene, between Redhouse and Bankhead.

The road was closed to allow accident investigations. Police have appealed for witnesses.
