Seven in hospital after Campbeltown flat fire

Fire crews were called to the flat in Campbeltown's Saddle Street

Seven people - including four children - were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a fire at a flat in Campbeltown on the Kintyre peninsula.

Fire crews were called to the first-floor apartment in Saddle Street at about 0430 GMT.

The children were treated in hospital for smoke inhalation but later released. The three adults are still believed to be in hospital.

A fire investigation unit will try to establish the cause of the blaze.
