Teenage girl in serious sex assault in West Lothian

A teenage girl is recovering after being seriously sexually assaulted in West Lothian.

The 17-year-old was attacked on the B7010 Fauldhouse to Longridge road, about 400 yards east of Lanrigg Road, sometime after 0150 BST on Saturday.

Police want to speak to anyone who was at Cricket Club on Friday night.

The suspect is in his early 20s, between 5ft 10in and 6ft, of medium or athletic build, with a pointed nose.

He was wearing a dark-coloured hoody, tracksuit bottoms with twin-stripes down each leg, and he might have been wearing a hat.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said it had been a "terrible experience" for the young woman.
