Slovenian football fans appear in Edinburgh court

Dozens of Slovenian football fans who travelled to Edinburgh for the Hibernian match against NK Maribor at Easter Road have been arrested.

Lothian and Borders Police said 30 men had been charged in connection with a disturbance in the city's Canongate area on Thursday evening.

The arrests followed reports of trouble near to the Pancho Villa restaurant at about 1830 BST.

The men appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.

The 30 men, aged between 17 and 34, made no plea or declaration, the case was continued and they were granted bail.
