Murder inquiry after man stabbed in Edinburgh

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Edinburgh.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said the attack happened at about 1500 BST in the Wester Hailes Park area.

"A man died as a result of a stab wound," he said. It is understood the area has been cordoned off.

The police spokesman urged anyone with information to contact officers with information.
