Five-year-old boy killed by lorry in Gullane

A five-year-old boy has died after his bicycle was struck by a lorry in East Lothian.

Archie Dunbar, of Muirfield Drive in Gullane, was killed instantly in the crash, which happened in nearby Muirfield Terrace at about 1400 BST.

The driver of the lorry was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh suffering from shock.

An investigation is under way into the collision, and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
