Man charged over indecent assaults on two girls

A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with indecent assaults carried out on two girls in Dalkeith.

The man is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday 18 October.

Police said the children aged 11 and 12 were approached by a man on Eskdaill Street shortly before 2000 BST on Monday.

Police said the girls were not injured but were distressed by the ordeal.
