Man dies after being hit by car

A man has died after being hit by a car on a main road in Fife on Saturday evening.
The pedestrian was knocked down on the A985 Cairneyhill to Crombie Road, south of Dunfermline, at about 1905 GMT.
The man, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed between the Cairneyhill Roundabout and Crombie for more than five hours for investigations.
