Drugs officers in £2m heroin haul in Edinburgh


Heroin with an estimated street value of nearly £2m has been recovered by police in Edinburgh.

About 18kg of the drug was seized during a search of a property in Sighthill.

It is the largest single recovery of heroin ever made by the Lothian and Borders Police.

Three men, aged 21, 21 and 28, have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences, and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
