Detectives investigating a murder at an Edinburgh flat are trying to trace a man who was seen outside a few hours before.

Lee Duncan's body was found at a flat in Lauriston Place, Tollcross, shortly before 1100 GMT on Friday.

The 31-year-old's death is now being treated as murder.

The man police want to find was outside the flats at about 0300 GMT. He was wearing blue overalls and could be heard shouting up at a window.

Police said he was 5ft 6ins, of muscular build and had short, cropped hair.

Det Ch Insp Keith Hardie, of Lothian and Borders Police, who is leading the investigation, said: "We hope that someone will have seen or heard this man and may be able to help us in identifying him.

"Anyone who was in Lauriston Place around 0300 GMT and recognises his description or who remembers seeing anything suspicious is asked to contact police immediately.

"Similarly, we would urge this man to make contact with officers as soon as possible and assist us with our investigation."
