Hit-and-run driver knocks down boy, 13, in Fife

A hit-and-run driver who knocked down a 13-year-old boy in Fife is being sought by police.

The boy suffered a broken leg during the incident on High Street, Newburgh, near Whitecraig Road on Wednesday at about 1940 BST.

The vehicle involved did not stop and has been described by witnesses as a silver Vauxhall Astra estate car.

Fife Constabulary appealed for the male driver, who was on his own in the car, to come forward.
