Scotland striker Garry O'Connor will return to court later this month to answer insurance fraud charges.

It is alleged the Hibs footballer made a fraudulent claim of almost £100,000 following a crash near Tranent in East Lothian involving his Ferrari.

The wrecked F430 Spider F1, which has since been written off, was discovered abandoned on 14 April.

He did not appear at Haddington Sheriff Court. No plea was entered and the case was continued until 23 November.
