Three arrested over stolen goods in Edinburgh

Three people have been arrested and charged following a series of raids where police recovered £50,000 worth of stolen goods.

An Audi A6, several items of high-value jewellery, and a laptop computer were recovered from addresses in the Craigmillar, Edinburgh on Wednesday.

A 45-year-old woman and 43-year-old man were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery of the stolen items.

They will both appear at court at a later date.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with two break-ins in the south and east of the city, and he will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "The force is committed to bringing those involved in acquisitive crime to justice, and reuniting stolen goods with their rightful owners.

"However, to do so, we need the help of our local communities, and we would urge anyone who has any information about criminals dealing in stolen goods to contact us."
