Man charged over pedestrian death in Leslie

A man has been charged following the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a car in Fife.

Stephen McCann, 20, from Leslie, was knocked down on the A911 High Street in Leslie at about 03:15 on Saturday.

Police are appealing for information of the movements of the silver Ford Focus car involved in the accident.

Mr McCann's family said: "He was a hard-working popular young man in the village with a large circle of friends who always worked since leaving school.

"He will be missed by family and friends."

A man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
