Fife bus accident boy Ben Dailly has fractured skull

A 10-year-old boy who was hit by a bus in Fife is being treated in hospital for a fractured skull, police have confirmed.

Ben Dailly, a pupil at Camdean Primary School, was hit by a Stagecoach bus on Castle Road, Rosyth, at about 17:30 on Monday.

He remains in the Sick Children's Hospital, Edinburgh.

No one else was injured in the incident. Fife Constabulary have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

Insp Brenda Sinclair said: "Ben was playing on his scooter and was with some friends who were on push bikes on Castle Road.

"An investigation is under way into the cause of the accident, and we are appealing for any person who was in the area at the time to contact us with any information that might help our inquiries."
