Police continue to probe woman's death in Aberdeen

Officers are continuing their investigations into the death of a woman in Aberdeen.

The body of the 38-year-old was found in a flat in Park Road in the east end of the city early on Wednesday morning.

Police closed the road for much of Wednesday while officers carried out door-to-door inquiries.

Grampian Police said they were continuing to treat the death as unexplained and officers are appealing for witnesses.

Ch Insp Martin Mackay said: "It is very early to make a real assessment as to what we have here.

"We're treating it as unexplained. Our priority is to establish how this lady died and to establish the full circumstances of her death."
