HGV driver witness of Edinburgh motorbike crash urged to come forward

Police want to speak to an HGV driver who may have been on a slip road at a roundabout in Edinburgh where a motorcyclist was seriously injured.

The 66-year-old motorcyclist is still in a serious condition in hospital following the accident on 15 September.

The incident happened at the Old Craighall Roundabout at its junction with the A720.

The motorbike and a red Peugeot had entered the northbound A1 off-slip to turn west when the crash happened.

The 66-year-old man was initially taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and is currently receiving treatment at St John's Hospital in Livingston. No one else was injured in the incident.

The police also want to speak to anyone else who witnessed the crash, which happened at about 18:30.
