Arrest over attack at Edinburgh's Western General Hospital

An 87-year-old man has allegedly been attacked at a hospital in Edinburgh.

Police said he was injured during an incident within the Western General Hospital in the early hours of Thursday.

A 58-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police confirmed officers made an arrest following an alleged assault. He added: "A man aged 87 suffered injuries to his face and hand."
