Fife pet sitter Gaynor Frances Burgess has animal ban quashed

A Fife pet sitter who was disqualified from working with animals has had her ban quashed by appeal judges.

Gaynor Frances Burgess, 60, from St Andrews, had admitted failing to make adequate provisions for five dogs and two cats which were left unattended for several days in October 2012.

She was disqualified from working with animals for 40 months at Cupar Sheriff Court last month.

However, the ban was quashed by appeal court judges on 28 May.

The fine imposed on Burgess, the proprietor of Pet Care Services of St Andrews, was also reduced from £400 to £100.
