Man to stand trial over rape in Fife garden

A man is to stand trial later this year charged with raping a woman in a garden in Fife.

Girvin Imrie appeared for a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.

The 25 year-old is accused of sexually assaulting the woman in a garden in Cupar, Fife, while she was "intoxicated with alcohol".

Imrie, from Cupar, denies the charge. Judge Lord Turnbull set a trial due to begin on 20 May at the High Court in Edinburgh.
