Fresh appeal after woman indecently assaulted at home

Police have issued a further appeal for witnesses after a woman was indecently assaulted in her home last week.

The 27-year-old was woken by an intruder to her home in Orchard Place, Livingston, at about 03:30 on Wednesday 7 May.

The intruder then indecently assaulted her before leaving the property.

A Police Scotland spokesman said they were keen to trace a man who was seen in the area around the time of the assault.

He was described as white, 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in in height, with short dark hair, pointed features and wearing a grey coloured hoodie.

Det Supt Pat Campbell: "We've had a good response to our inquiries so far, and we are keen to trace this unidentified male, so we can eliminate him from our inquiries.

"While police would advise women to take extra care when walking late at night, I'd like to reassure the public that we are fully committed to tracing the perpetrator."
