Appeal after teenager is injured in Longniddry crash

Police have appealed for information after a teenager was seriously injured in a road crash in Longniddry.

Robbie Thomson, 18, was seriously hurt in the incident involving a coach and two cars on Wednesday.

The collision happened on the A198 at the junction with Dean Road at about 07:50.

Mr Thomson was taken to the Western General Hospital where he remains in a stable but critical condition.

Sgt Neil Inglis of the road policing department said: "The collision in Longniddry left a man seriously injured and we are keen to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information that might assist the investigation is asked to can contact Police Scotland."
