Body found in search for missing man Alexander Cameron

Police investigating the death of a man from West Lothian have discovered a body on a farm.

Alexander Cameron, 67, was last seen at a property in Newcraighall Road in Kirknewton on 19 January. He was reported missing three days later.

Officers found a body in Kirknewton on Tuesday afternoon and inquiries are now ongoing to establish the identify of the dead person.

James Smith, 58, has appeared in court charged with Mr Cameron's murder.

Mr Smith, from Kirknewton, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
