Man charged with murdering Latvian national in Glenrothes

A man is set to appear in court charged over the murder of a Latvian national who had been living in Fife.

The body of 29-year-old Aleksandrs Sokolovs was found in a property on Tummel Road in Glenrothes on 13 April.

A 28-year-old man will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A statement from Mr Sokolovs' family said: "Aleksandrs was a very friendly person who loved to travel and experience different cultures."

The family added: "He was a loving son and brother and will be missed by all persons who knew him."
