Man stabbed in attempted murder at Edinburgh house
A 51-year-old man has been stabbed in an attempted murder at an Edinburgh house.
The incident happened at about 04:30 in Hailesland Grove when the victim suffered a serious injury to his torso.
He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he received treatment.
A 46-year-old man was arrested and charged shortly afterwards and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
Police Scotland said a police dog was used to safely apprehend the man in Sighthill Drive shortly before 05:00.
Det Sgt Robbie Wallace said: "We're still eager for anyone who witnessed anything or has any information which can assist with our inquiries to come forward.
"Police dog Max and his handler did a fantastic job in apprehending this man so quickly and incidents such as this show how valuable our dog unit is."
