A man has been found guilty of raping a woman in an Edinburgh park.
Faizan Ali attacked the 29-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in Leith Links on 13 November 2014.
At the High Court in the city, a jury convicted Ali, 24, a prisoner of HMP Edinburgh, of rape following a three day trial.
They had heard evidence from the woman, a sex worker, that Ali's actions had left her feeling "violated and scared." Sentence was deferred.
Ali that will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
He is due to be sentenced on 14 on July.
Defence solicitor advocate Brian Gilfedder told the judge that he would address the court on behalf of his client at the sentencing hearing next month.
He added: "I would prefer to keep my powder dry until then my lord."
