'Gerbil' murder accused back in court

A man has made his second appearance in court over the murder of Kevin "The Gerbil" Carroll.

Ross Monaghan, who appeared in private, is accused of repeatedly shooting, then killing Mr Carroll outside Asda in Robroyston on 13 January.

The 28-year-old, of Gleddoch Court, Glasgow, has also been charged with possessing a Ruger .357 Magnum gun and 9mm self-loading pistol.

At Glasgow Sheriff Court he was fully committed and remanded in custody.

He will stand trial later this year.
