Man's body found in River Clyde

A man's body has been pulled from the River Clyde in Glasgow city centre.

A member of the public spotted the remains floating near the Victoria Bridge, at Gorbals Street, at about 0955 BST on Wednesday.

Divers recovered the body, which has yet to be formally identified. A post-mortem examination will be held to establish the cause of death.

Police said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances at present but inquiries were continuing.
