Second man arrested over Greenock murder

A second man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Inverclyde.

Brian Docherty, 55, was found dead in his flat on Greenock's Clynder Road on Tuesday 17 August.

Police said a 25-year-old man was being held in custody and was expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court later.

Andrew Docherty, 24, from Greenock, appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Tuesday charged with murder. He made no plea and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear again on 31 August.
