Man hurt after being hit by bus

An investigation is under way after a 50-year-old man was hit by a bus in central Glasgow.

The man was struck by the bus in Queen Street, in the city centre, at about 0845 BST on Thursday.

He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where his condition is described as "serious but stable".

Queen Street is closed at its junction with Argyle Street as police investigate the incident. Local diversions are in place.
