Gun discharged in Glasgow's east end

Published

An investigation has been launched after a firearm was apparently discharged in the east end of Glasgow.

Police said a 29-year-old man heard a loud bang while in his bedroom in Jerviston Road, Craigend, at about 0545 BST on Friday.

He then saw a black car pull away from the street at speed and later found a pellet or bullet hole in the window.

Police said it appeared that the incident was "a random occurrence" and have appealed for witnesses.
