Man in court over murder in Glasgow flat

A 41-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man in the east end of Glasgow.

David James McPhee was charged with killing 35-year-old John Brennan, who was found dead at his flat in Cockenzie Street, Shettleston, on 2 September.

Following a post-mortem examination, police said Mr Brennan had been the victim of a violent attack.

At Glasgow Sheriff Court, Mr McPhee made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
