Pair injured in double stabbing

A man and a woman have been taken to hospital after a double stabbing in North Lanarkshire.

Emergency services were called to a disturbance in a flat in Calla Sona Court, Wishaw, at 0225 BST, where a party had been taking place.

A man, 37, was stabbed inside the flat and a woman, 29, was stabbed in the street. Both are in a stable condition.

Police are looking for a woman described as being 5ft 4in, thin, with straight, shoulder-length brown hair.

The pair are being treated at Wishaw General Hospital.
