Second man charged over fatal stabbing of Scott Margery

A second man has been charged with the murder of a young father who was found dying in the street.

James Gilfillan, 21, is accused of stabbing 27-year-old Scott Margery to his severe injury and murdering him in Stevenston, Ayrshire, in July.

He made no plea or declaration at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody.

Kieran Davidson, 16, was charged with Mr Margery's murder in July. He was later freed on bail.

Mr Margey was discovered lying critically injured in the Main Street, Stevenston, in the early hours of Sunday 18 July.

He died shortly after being taken to Kilmarnock's Crosshouse Hospital.
