A taxi driver was threatened with a gun by a passenger in a "terrifying ordeal" in Glasgow, police have said
The cabbie picked up a man and a woman in the Easterhouse area at about 2325 GMT on Monday.
They picked up another man on the way, before driving to a house in Haghill. A disturbance was taking place so the two men got back in the taxi and left.
A short time later, the first man threatened the taxi driver with a gun, telling him to return for the woman.
The men jumped out of the taxi and ran off into Todd Street, Haghill, when police arrived in the area.
The suspect with the firearm was described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, with short blond hair.
He was in his early 20s and was wearing a blue and black top.
Det Con Dawn Bethune said: "Thankfully the taxi driver was not injured but it was a terrifying ordeal for him to go through.
"We have since recovered the firearm and other weapons that were discarded by the man but there was obviously intent on his behalf to cause some bother or seriously injure someone."
