A man was hurt when his own car was driven towards him by a car thief, Strathclyde Police have said.
The 49-year-old man interrupted the theft when he returned to his car, which was parked on Woodvale Avenue, Bearsden, on Thursday evening.
A police spokesman said the man noticed someone sitting in his car and another three or four young men in a silver or light blue estate car nearby.
The estate car then drove off and the man's Mercedes car was driven at him.
The driver, a white male aged between 20 and 25, then made off towards Rannoch Drive and the Maryhill area.
The car, a silver Class C model with the registration number X40 JBB, has not been recovered.
Police said the man's injuries did not require hospital treatment, but he was left "very shaken".
Det Con Derek Cameron, from Kirkintilloch Police Office, said: "The man was extremely lucky not to be more seriously hurt in what was a deliberate attempt to injure him."
He asked for anyone who has information about the theft or was in the Woodvale Avenue area at about 1900 GMT to contact Kirkintilloch Police Office.
