Man arrested over 'violent attack' death in Airdrie

A man has been arrested over the death of a 63-year-old man who suffered a "violent attack" in his North Lanarkshire home.

Emergency services found David Goodhall badly injured in his flat in Airdrie's Laggan Road on Friday. He died later in Monklands General Hospital.

Strathclyde Police said a 36-year-old man had been arrested in connection with his death.

He is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
