Second man in court over violent death in Airdrie

A second man has appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court charged with the murder of a man in North Lanarkshire.

Gerard Veldon, 46, from Airdrie, is alleged to have killed 63-year-old David Goodhall in the town last week.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. Stephen Love, 36, also from Airdrie, appeared on Wednesday charged with murder.

Mr Goodhall died in Monklands General Hospital after being found with serious injuries at his home last Friday.
