Taxi driver, 60, dies after Johnstone road crash


A 60-year-old taxi driver who was seriously injured in a road crash in Renfrewshire has died in hospital.

William Greenlees' Skoda Octavia crossed the carriageway and struck a fence on Cochranemill Road, Johnstone, at about 0455 GMT on Tuesday.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he died the following day.

Police are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash and have appealed for witnesses.
