Man killed by own 'runaway' car in Glasgow

A man has died after being run over by his own car while trying to stop it from rolling down a hill.

The 46-year-old, who has not been named, was trapped under his Toyota Auris, on Borron Street, Glasgow, at about 1255 GMT on Sunday.

He was taken to the city's Royal Infirmary but died a short time later.

Police said a report on the incident would be sent to the procurator fiscal. They have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
