Man stabbed in Glasgow bus attack


Police are appealing for information after a 31-year-old-man was stabbed in the back on a bus in Glasgow.

The man was attacked as he was travelling into the city centre on a number 62 First Bus between 2015 and 2045 GMT on Saturday.

He was stabbed by a man after getting into an argument with a youth who had entered the bus with five other youths in Westmuir Street, Parkhead.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.

Pc Stephanie Dougan, of Strathclyde Police, said: "I would appeal to any passengers on the bus to come forward to police as they will have information that is vital to this investigation."
