Greenock drug arrests lead to £237,000 heroin haul

Three people have been arrested during a drugs operation which resulted in the seizure of heroin with an estimated street value of £237,000.

Two men, aged 23 and 29, and a 26-year-old woman were detained by police in Greenock, Inverclyde, on Wednesday.

The operation was led by the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency with support from Strathclyde Police and is part of a wider investigation.

Those arrested are expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court later.
