A man who was caught with cocaine worth an estimated £40,000 the day after he appeared in court on a separate drugs charge has been jailed for two years.

The High Court in Glasgow heard Kevin Clabby was arrested after trying to flee across the M8 motorway at Kinning Park, Glasgow, in November last year.

The 33-year-old, from Paisley, ran from a car that had been stopped by police acting on a tip-off in November 2010.

He had earlier been caught with £200 of cocaine in a hired car in Renfrewhire.
